Ecclesiastes 3:1 says "To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose". 

The Fruits of the Spirit Ministry (FOSM) is an up and coming ministry located in the southern part of Maryland.  The ministry was birthed in 2001.  It is biblically established and is based on the scripture:  Galatians 5:22 and 23,  "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance."

Fruits of the Spirit Ministry (FOSM), on a monthly basis: 

• conducts meeting on Biblical characters, Biblical topics and the various fruits (spiritual: love, joy, peace and natural:  apples, bananas, peaches, etc.)
• fellowships
• future plans include outreach activities such as fellowship, teaching and visits to various senior citizens places, home and hospital visits 
• workshops on  foundational aspects of the Word (prayer, praise, worship, fasting, meditating and how to study the Word)  

MISSION

One aspect of the ministry's mission is to minister, teach, discuss, exhort, share, listen and relate to the emotional traumas (or life circumstances) in diverse situations.  The mission is also to utilize many of God's principles and Biblical characters to defeat and overcome these emotional traumas.  The other aspect of the ministry mission is to deepen and strengthen the foundational teachings of prayer, praise, worship and studying of the Word.  When a foundation is solid, the winds may blow, one may bend, but one will not give in.

VISION

The vision of the ministry is:

• We believe in the Lord God Almighty.
• We believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, our Lord and Messiah, born of Mary,  died and resurrected on the third day.
• We believe in the Holy Spirit for guidance and direction (Proverbs 3).
• To teach basic foundations (prayer/intercession, praise, worship, fasting, and studying the Word of God) instrumental to walking in God's principle.
• To spread the Gospel throughout the land by reaching the lost.
• To teach overcoming through Jesus Christ (salvation, healing and deliverance) and the Holy Spirit (guidance, direction and wisdom).
• Each of us has, had, have and will walk in the fruits of (love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance) from grace, obedience, perseverance, trials, favor, endurance, opposition, and faith. 
• Each of us has, had, have and will experience these fruits from grace, favor, faith, opposition, trials, and endurance.

PURPOSE

You and I, we are connected throughout the body of Christ.  Whether we are consistent, agreeable, together or far away, our paths will connect now, later, or eternally.  Each of us as laymen, five-fold, or ministers of reconciliation have a mandated position to go forth, by our walk, talk, gifts, and callings to fulfill the vision, the mission and the purpose of the Lord God Almighty.  It started in Genesis and ends with Revelation.

We who are his servants, vessels, and sons and daughters, your path is no different than mine; we just walked different blocks, streets, and avenues to get to where we are or where we will need to be.
